Stone Hill Design Associates, Inc. was included on the design team for the substantial addition and site modifications performed for this residence. The Owner requested that we design exterior spaces that not only accommodated the house expansion, but created more useable lawn space and recreation areas. By collaborating with the architect, engineer, and interior designer for this project, Stone Hill Design was able to design patios that extended out from the interior rooms, provide circulation between the indoor/outdoor spaces, and develop site retaining walls that were aesthetically and structurally sound.

Challenging slope conditions required the design to include high walls and stairs that were in keeping with the architectural style and materials established by the architect. Attention to the details of the wall caps, irons railings, and lighting were critical elements a “finished” look.
