Stone Hill Design Associates, Inc.
developed a setting for a pool house and terraced gardens for this
residence. The concept for this substantial addition to the property was
to create a series of outdoor “rooms” that provide enhanced views,
intimate seating, social areas, recreational opportunities, and
entertainment facilities. By the use of lighting and a dramatic elevation change, the building will be tucked into the hillside and directly relate to its surrounding landscape. Stone walls and substantial plantings will serve to connect the pool house and covered porches to the main house and its surrounding countryside views. The various levels that are created by the natural stone walls have a series of ponds linked together by waterfalls and streams that cascade down the hillside. Stone Hill Design worked closely with Penza Bailey Architects and G.Y.C. Group Limited. The landscape was installed by Natural Concerns, Inc. |
